ABSTRACT:
Intermittent exotropia is a unique strabismus with a specific set
of sensory motor findings. This paper provides a comprehensive review of nomenclature, epidemiology, sensory motor findings, theories of etiology, and treatment of intermittent exotropia, of both basic and divergence excess types.
